I'm Michael Akin, Principal Clinician, Psychotherapist and Registered Counsellor. I spent my early working years as a veterinarian performing complex surgeries, consoling individuals, and developing plans for families under challenging medical emergencies. This is where my love for therapy began and flourished.
That foundation led me to specialize in therapy for individuals in high-stress workplaces like hospitals and veterinary clinics. I've witnessed how workplace stress, burnout, and demanding environments can ripple through every aspect of life.
